#Blogpost 5 - Gingham style!

I'm not kidding here, but for this summer, gingham has been a deep down obsession for me!  The classic picnic blanket print just got a refresh!


The truth is that gingham does not mean check or checked, it actually means striped. But, when you’re dealing with a fabric that’s over five hundred years old, naturally some things do get lost in translation. "Gingham" comes from the Malayan word genggang, or "striped." The fabric and its trademark checks became increasingly more prevalent until it was one of the most common and recognizable fabrics in the world, seen on Southern literary types, and London bankers alike.

Gingham forges on as an integral part of the spring, and summer style landscape and I'm currently craving with gingham footwear, innerwear, bags, hats, skirts etc. This classic check print is great to wear thing this summer and definitely, a must have in your summer wardrobes. If you're a fan of monochromatic minimal design this one for you!
Gingham is all versatile and it totally depends on you how you use this neutral pattern is a classic attire or with a pop! It is a two- way; street style and a classic and no doubt the best trend for this season.

 











I recently spotted this dress from my personal favorite @lilliebyrutthie store. ( I'll be mentioning the details below) and it was an eye candy.
I didn't want to feel bold or very basic this time but something just popping with feminine touch attached to it. The dress with these cute quirky patches was all I wanted. 
I decided to pair this up with a pair of black stockings and my basic black wedges. For accessories, I kept this minimal with a basic black watch and my vintage rounded sunglasses.


                                                                             





Gingham is taking over and its time for you to add some pieces of this gingham goodness to your wardrobe! ❤️
