There are various things we Lucknowites are proud about and one of them is Sugandhco . Fragrances and exotic itar have always been an integral part of Oudh's culture. The credit for patronizing and popularizing the perfumery in Lucknow goes to the Nawabs of Oudh, particularly to Nawab Wajid Ali Shah. In 1850's, when the itar industry was in the doldrums, Mr. Chhunnamal Vijayvergiya initiated a perfumery business in Lucknow, that would reach the masses. Smell that represents our culture and elegance. This initiative took place in 1980 with Sugandhco and in no time these innovative blends came into high demand. The fragrances created here are of high quality. They fuse the traditional knowledge of perfumery into modern trends serving us with some great smells to flatter.
